An 81 year old man was cited this month in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He claimed that a 54 year old women was walking too slowly. Therefore, he nudged her while in his vehicle. However, he did not just nudge her once but two times. The woman was injured but not seriously hurt.
Why are people so crazy? Where could this man possibly have been going that it was so important that he had to nudge this woman out of his way? In general, today's society is much too quick paced. Also, many people have the "the world owes me" mentality. What happened to the days of pedestrians have the right of way, leisurely strolls, and working hard to get what you want in life?

Needy Women (Week 16)
Fifty-three year old Drew Peterson will appear in court due to charges of killing his third ex-wife Kathleen Savio after his fourth wife Stacy Peterson went missing. Prosecutors say that the defendant killed witness Savio to prevent her from testifying in the case of Stacy Peterson's disappearance. Savio was found in a dry bath tub with wounds to the back of her head. Now, Peterson is engaged to his fifth wife. She is a twenty-three year old Chicago woman.
Why in God's name does this twenty-three year old think it's a good idea to marry a murderer? He's already been through four wives proving that he's not husband material. Also, he's a violent MURDERER. How can a woman be so needy and naive? This is absolutely outrageous and makes women appear to be dependent to the point of stupidity.

Muslims vs. Americans (Week 15)
Muslims in the Middle Eastern countries are being misinformed. The Middle Eastern media is feeding them blatant lies about America and what our country stands for. They claim that American product names mean things that degrade the Muslim people. Also, leaders of these nations are feeding their people wrong and violent messages about America's intentions with the Muslims. They are also teaching their kids at a young age to despise the American people.
I think this is absolutely awful. How can a people be so brainwashed? However, I think it is important to understand that this is not the stance of all Muslims. Not all Muslims are bad people who share these same skewed ideologies. It is important that we as Americans teach our children this. Also, it is important to keep them accepting and understanding of all cultures and backgrounds.

Family Feud (Week 14)
Christopher Woods wounded and killed his entire family before turning the gun on himself on Saturday, April 18. Woods' father-in-law hadn't heard from the family in days so he went over to their Frederick Co., Maryland home and discovered a tragic scene. Woods had cut and killed his wife, 2 year old daughter, and 4 and 5 year old sons. Several handwritten notes were found around Woods' home supposedly written by him, but police are not yet releasing their contents. They have yet to find a motive for this brutal disaster.
How can anyone possibly do this to their family? How can anyone possibly take the lives of three innocent, young children? Moreover, I've never understood why it is that people find it necessary to kill others if the final result is going to end in them killing themselves. Just commit suicide and be done with it. There is no need to take other lives just because you are unhappy with your own. This may seem harsh and cruel but why take five lives when you could just take one?

Swimming With the Polar Bears (Week 13)
In Berlin, a lady thought it would be a good idea to go play with the polar bears. In her attempt to play with them, she also felt it would be a good idea to jump into the enclosure. She went around several gates to reach the inside of the exhibit. Moreover, she climbed through shrubbery to reach the bears. Then after she dove into the tank, the bears attacked her.
Some are upset that security is not being stepped up at the zoo. However, I think that the zoo is right to think that their security measures are safe. Clearly this woman knew what she was doing was dangerous if she had to maneuver so many obstacles. I think that the zoo did all that they could to keep their visitors safe from the animals. The zoo has done its part to keep both the animals and the visitors safe and if the visitors are going to severely violate the zoo's rules then the visitors deserve the consequences for their violations.

Date Night (Week 12)
In this What Would You Do? episode, there was a gay couple who went out to the bar together. They were affectionate and shared there love for each other openly. Many people were tolerant of their affection. They realized that love could be more than just the typical idea of what most think it to be. However, there were some that were your typical "gay bashers" and criticized the couple along with the actor. Many took their opinions to the extreme but then again just as many stuck up for the loving couple.
If I were in this situation, I hope that I would defend this couple. A person can't help who they love. Moreover, I don't think it is fair to criticize someone for loving another person. However, I am not a fan of public displays of affection of any kind regardless of who the couple is. This does not justify publicly criticizing two people though.

Momzilla (Week 11)
In this episode of What Would You Do?, there was a mom who was verbally attacking her daughter. As the excited bride was trying on potential wedding dresses, her mother was verbally abusing her. The mother used terms such as fat and ugly to describe how her daughter looked. There was one bystander however who took this overbearing mother aside. This woman explained to the mother the difference between verbally attacking her daughter and constructive criticism.
If I was in this situation, I hope I would do the same thing as this bystander did. It is one thing to want your daughter to look her very best on her wedding day. However, it is a completely different thing to verbally attack and belittle someone. Also, I'm sure that this overweight woman already has the outside world thinking that she is in fact ugly and fat. However, her mother should be the one there to support and shield her from the brutal world.

Obama vs. Coach K (Week 10)
I think that it was absolutely ridiculous for Coach K to call out Obama on his NCAA bracket picks. I mean honestly, how old are we? Just because Obama doesn't have Duke going as far as Coach K would like does not give him the right to call out Obama. This simply makes Coach K look like an immature child who is throwing a temper tantrum because he didn't like what his daddy told him. I think that Coach K should look beyond this unneceeasry quagmire and look rather to his team. If it really does bother him so much, then he needs to focus on his basketball team and prove Obama wrong. Coach K and the Blue Devils should take this as motivation and thank President Obama.
Moroever, I think that it was good that Obama filled out a bracket. It makes him seem like a presonable president. He appears then to be a leader that can relate to the common people. Nothing brings boys and men, the powerful and the common citizen, Republicans and Democrats together like sports. Sadly though, it seems as though Preseident Obama will always be under public scrutiny. Not everyone will alwyas be happy with his decisions, even decisions as minute as NCAA picks.
